Welcome in Help for K2 System

K2 information system is a tool for managing the whole company. It is used for entering data, managing business processes and creating reports for future strategic decisions. You can utilize a wide range of options from production, through stock, trade, economy, managerial evaluation, up to e-shop.

The ERP system is highly demanding on its perfect control; therefore, we constantly educate its users. We offer basic user trainings, trainings for Administrators and Economy Departments, webinars, seminars and conferences. All currently published dates can be found on our website (only in Czech).

Another very useful source of information is our K2 Television (only in Czech) with original content and recordings of our finished events.

We also recommend registering in our K2 Infoservice. You can follow the news there, communicate with other K2 system users, use our customer support, download the latest versions and find information about fixed errors.

Online Help

To facilitate the orientation in the K2 system you can utilize this Online Help, which is divided into 2 parts: User Documentation, Technical Documentation. Each of these parts contains documentation that is covered by the given area.

1. You can easily find information by using the Search field in the upper part of the screen within the whole Online Help. Both individual words and phrases are searched. The search result offers 100 records sorted by the best match:

• first, whole phrases found in captions,
• then whole phrases in text,
• then individual words in captions,
• and finally individual words in text.

The found phrases will be highlighted in the text and you can move between them by using the Ctrl+arrow up and Ctrl+arrow down keys. The Esc key cancels the search.

2. In the individual categories, you can search individual phrases by pressing Ctrl+F (the results are highlighted). You can go to the next found phrase by pressing the F3 key.

3. The left toolbar contains the Contents and Index folder tabs. In the Contents folder tab, you can switch into selected chapters by clicking the left mouse button. The button opens all subordinate nodes of the selected topic, and the button collapses the selected topic. The Index folder tab enables the reduction search.

4. If you need to show the Help over the whole screen, you will hide this pane by pressing the button . To return back, click on the Contents or Index folder tab or on the icon .

5. The current location in the Online Help is represented by the tree in the left toolbar and also by the breadcrumb navigation located in the upper part of the screen. This displays relevant elements upwards and downwards in the hierarchical tree from the selected chapter up to the top level of the tree.

6. For your own use, you can print out every requested page from the Help by using the icon .

Properties IS K2

IS K2 is continuously upgraded not only to meet increasing users' demands but also to follow recent development and trends in information technologies.

Technical characteristics, which result from the used technology, in which the K2 program has been created, are stated in the following summary:

• Programme design is fully optional; it means that it is possible to set the desktop, buttons, books (tables) content, icons, etc. in accordance with your own requirements. Setting of the colours is fully configurable too.
• Output reports, as well as macros (scripts), can be activated from the toolbar that can be modified by a user. Many actions can therefore be run simply by pressing a button.
• There is a programming script in which it is possible to run all K2 functions, read, perhaps even write into data, create local calculation tables (for reports), or call external programs. Among others, the complete support of OLE interface is available; thus the most modern means of the Windows operating system can be used.
• Although, the programme is designed for MS Windows environment, the emphasis is laid on the possibility of comfortable data inserting from the keyboard without the necessity of a mouse usage, what will be appreciated especially by the workers who have been accustomed to using of the competent functions.
• Upon activating any code list, it is possible to use all the functions of the original book - insert new records, change, browse etc.
